Summer is a comin! So slide on those rainbow’s, slap on that sunscreen and get ready to relax and have a blast!

Our last Summit Tuesday is June 12 but we’ll still meet up every week to do something awesome (like movies, capture the flag, etc.), it’s just going to be a bit more free form.

Some things are set in stone though such as:

• June 15th – End of the Year Beach Party
• July 10th – Beach Clean Up BBQ
• July 18th – Universal Studious/Hard Rock Cafe
• August 2nd – Laser Tag Lock-In
• August 11th – Getty/Santa Monica Pier

We’ll also be doing a handful of service projects after we get back from the Bahamas, but I’ll let y’all know about those later.

If you’re not going on the Bahamas Trip but would like to get the rush of summer camp than I would encourage you to consider going with Young Life Capernaum to Lost Canyon, June 24-30.

Just to let you all know we are having a mandatory meeting on Sunday, June 10th at noon. You MUST be there because it will be the last meeting we have before the trip and we will be going over the packing list and any other last minute issues.

Let me know ASAP if you don’t have your passport yet.

Assemble! Tonight we are doing tacos at the laguna hills mall Rubios at 6 and then catching The Avengers there at 7. We should be done by 9:30. Bring $10 for the movie and I’ll cover your tacos! ^_^.

Hey Bahamas Folks! Here’s a quick low down on what we covered last Sunday during our meeting:

1. Fundraisers:
   1. Saturday May 5^th – 4pm – 9pm – Missions Dinner
   2. Saturday May 12^th – 8am – 4pm – Rent A Highschooler

1. May 19^th or 20^th is our service day

1. Make sure you’re keeping a prayer journal to get ready for the trip. Follow the prayers at www.commonprayer.net

1. We still need to raise $4,500 as a team.

1. I ordered the tickets so we are at the point of no return. We leave at 11:30 pm on June 23 and get back at 11:15 pm on June 30^th.

1. Write your support letter this week. I need a final version of it by this Sunday. Mail/hand a physical copy to at minimum 20 people. Below is an example letter I used on a past mission trip. Just make sure your letter has three basic parts:

1. Intro
2. Where/when are we going, why are you going, who are you serving
3. Request prayer and financial support. Don’t be afraid to mention that we still need $4,500. People want to give in order to support you and the mission.

Also, it looks like the Leader Appreciation Dinner is going to be Sunday, May  13th.

I know its Mothers Day but it was the only day where everyone was in town. The dinner will start at 6 pm so that you have plenty of time to get lunch with your mommy’s! ^_^
